Six Sentence Sunday

It’s Sunday again, time for another snippet from my upcoming story – which still is not titled. I’ll let you read it and see if you can tell where we’re at in the story.

The passage of time had done nothing to lessen the dull throb caused by her absence.  Now he growled and shoved the images away. He picked up his pen. Working quickly, he signed a dozen or so cards until he came to the one addressed to her. He hesitated, his chest tight with pain.

Thinking of you, he finally wrote.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            – Pepper

“Let’s read something spicy!”

Thanks for sharing! Love the six… Hmmm. I am guessing she left him at the altar or some such? I haven’t read previous snippets, so I’m just tossing out a guess!

Interesting last line. I’m intrigued. If I had to guess I’d say we’re mid story. More please!

I love understatement! You’ve done a good job of showing his suffering and his denial. Great six.
