Introducing Lacey Wolfe

by Pepper on October 26, 2011

My guest today is Lacey Wolfe, an author at Beachwalk Press. Her spicy romance, Amber’s Muse, was just released October 14th.

PA:  Hi Lacey. I’m so excited to be chatting with a fellow Beachwalk Press author, especially one I’m sharing a release date with. Are your feet touching down yet, now that Amber’s Muse is finally available?

LW:  They are finally touching the ground again. It has been a rush of a week. This is all new to me so I’m learning so much. I enjoyed sharing launch day with you and hope we get to share one again.

PA:  I agree. That would be fun. I really enjoyed the story of Amber and Jax. These two have great chemistry right from the beginning. Do you think that sort of natural chemistry is always necessary, or can a couple start with fewer fireworks and develop an exciting sexual relationship over time?

LW:  Great question. I think you’ve gotta have that instant attraction, otherwise you might hit that “friend” zone. Which is initially what happened between Jax and Amber. He was nuts for her and one rainy night, his scent caught her finally and that was it. There was no turning  back.

PA:  My favorite part about the story was Jax’s emotional vulnerability. You did a great job showing him as a masculine man with deep feelings. It made him very attractive. Is that your favorite kind of hero or do you prefer macho heroes who keep everything bottled up inside?

LW:  I like men who aren’t afraid to let their feelings be known. If they are always macho tough men, then how can you ever really connect with them? In a work in progress I recently finished, I actually had a tough time because I made the male character a little macho. As the writer, I actually had a hard time connecting with him.

PA:  That would be tricky. I loved how imaginative Amber got in the bedroom toward the end of the story. Jax loved it too. Where do you come up with creative ideas like that?

LW:  I can’t say that some of it doesn’t come from experience, but I mainly pull from my imagination. I try to become whatever character I’m writing at the time and imagine what it is they are wanting. So, my spicy scenes are mainly just from my imagination.

PA:  Great imagination, friend! Do you plan on continuing to write erotic romance? What kind of story are you working on now?

LW:  For now, yes. It’s actually fun to write and it seems to be loved by all readers. I do want to write something that my family can read and not feel like they are getting way too much information about me in. Currently I am working on an erotic novella series. The first book —  Fool Me Once — is due out with Beachwalk Press. I’m guessing it will be out late 2011 or early 2012. I just finished writing book two;  I think it’s going to be named More Than Useful. That is the story I mentioned earlier with the macho man…aka hot cop! I’m still working on it, and it still has to pass inspection for a contract.

PA:  We’ll be watching for those new titles, Lacey.

LW:  Thanks for having me Pepper! It has been a pleasure getting to know you and I wish you continued success with Macy’s Awakening.

PA:  Well thank you, Lacey. Wishing you success with your writing as well.

It was such a pleasure having you, Lacey. I agree with you about the Beachwalk authors. A great bunch of writers and friends. Again, best of luck to you with your sales of Amber’s Muse.
