Am I There Yet?

by Pepper on October 31, 2011

If you’ve been following my blog the last couple of weeks, you know I’ve been on Cloud Nine about the unexpected success of Macy’s Awakening, my erotic IR novella, just released by Beachwalk Press on October 14th. Not only have I watched in awe as Macy climbed the Amazon best seller ranks in the erotica category, but I’m starting to get wonderful messages from new readers. I LOVE hearing from people who’ve enjoyed the story or fallen in love with the characters. Those supportive messages alone make being a published writer my dream come true.

Then, this morning, the icing on the cake. Macy’s Awakening has now sold enough copies to make me eligible for membership in the PAN network of Romance Writers of America!! Pan stands for Published Author Network. It means, in short, that the largest organization for writers of romantic fiction recognizes that I have finally arrived as a professional author.

I’ll be completing the actual paperwork in a month or two when I renew my annual RWA membership. Meanwhile, I am basking in the glow. I’m real. Yep. I’ve made it. Thanks again to my readers who got me here!
