Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by my website today on your hop around the Beachwalk Press author blogs. A huge congratulations to Beachwalk Press on its third Birthday. Wishing Pamela and staff many more years of success, and glad I could be a part of things.
My first Beachwalk book — Macy’s Awakening — came out in October 2011. Since then I’ve had short stories in two Beachwalk anthologies and a second novella, Amber’s Fantasy, that released last November. I adore being an author and here are three reasons why:
1 – I get to work with such awesome people.
Not just the Beachwalk staff, but almost all the romance authors I’ve met (in person or online) are the nicest women you’d want to know. Any sense of competition seems to come second to a spirit of good will and camaraderie. I love that we are all ready to give a leg up to our sister authors. And let’s not forget the readers who take the time to let me know how much they enjoyed my story. I truly treasure each and every interaction with my readers!
2 – I get to explore my fantasies
I’m an erotic writer, so all my stories have a decidedly naughty side to them. Let’s just say my real life is much more tame than the sex lives of the people I write about. How lucky am I to be able to explore in detail my bedroom fantasies, even if I never act them out for real?
3 – Writing is such a peaceful past time
My writing room looks out across my yard and vegetable garden. Since we live in a wooded area, my view is one of deep green fir trees, the grassy meadow to the north of our fence, and our little flock of chickens picking bugs out of the lawn. I hope some day soon to be able to retire from our family business and write full time. If I live to be 100, it will be because when I’m writing, I am truly at peace.
Thanks for listening! There are 18 other Beachwalk authors who are joining this 3rd Birthday celebration this weekend. You can visit their posts via the links below. Be sure to leave comments on each site to be eligible for the big $100 giveaway from Beachwalk Press. I’m also giving away a copy of both of my books to one lucky commenter. My website is set up to catch spammers, so I have to approve all comments before they will show up. Thanks for your patience.
And thanks for checking in with me today! Hop on!
UPDATE: I’m excited to announce the winning commenter: Michelle D. O’Neill. Michelle, I am emailing you right now to let you know you’ve won copies of both my ebooks! Hope you like them
